Fabric Handle Analyzer

Aalto University's School of Chemical Engineering is seeking a Fabric Handle Analyzer as according to the annexes to the Invitation to tender. Fabric comfort is a highly subjective measurement due to individual variations in skin sensitivity to pressure, friction, and heat. The Fabric Handle Analyzer to be procured offers an objective and quantitative assessment of textile skin touch comfort. The Fabric Handle Analyzer will provide objective insight into the following mechanical and surface properties of fabric: thickness, compression, bending, roughness, friction, and thermal properties. This is crucial in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of end-users of textile products, such as clothing or upholstery. Please, see annexes for further details.
